ማብራሪያ
Wishlist Kit Lite lets visitors save items for later without requiring a separate service account. It works with public WordPress posts, pages, and enabled public post types. WooCommerce and Elementor are optional integrations, not requirements.
Features included in this plugin:
- Guest and signed-in wishlists, with named lists and a default list.
- Guest lists transfer to the visitor’s account when they sign in on the same browser.
- Private lists and a responsive table view with search, sorting, and incremental loading.
- Move items between lists and remove selected items.
- WooCommerce product prices, stock status, and individual or selected-item cart actions where the product can be purchased without further choices.
- Configurable button placement and saved-heart fill color. The default outline heart has a border and background.
- Shortcodes, two dynamic blocks, and optional Elementor widgets.
- Administrator-only collection overview and WordPress personal-data export and erasure integration.
No license key, purchase, time limit, or external account is required for these features. Email alerts, reports, advanced organization, list and grid layouts, advanced theme customization and social sharing belong to the separate Wishlist Pro add-on. Lite includes informational Pro pages, not the implementation of those features.
Protected, unpublished, password-protected, and unavailable items are not exposed to unauthorized visitors. Optional DownloadsKit integration respects the current viewer’s access and uses its delivery URL rather than exposing a file storage path.
External services
No external API or remotely hosted script is required. Product and content images use the URLs supplied by your site and its media configuration.
The free plugin does not contact social-sharing services, send stock alerts or send marketing email.

This plugin provides 2 blocks.

የተለመዱ ጥያቄዎች
-
Does this work without WooCommerce or Pro?
-
Yes. Visitors can save enabled public WordPress content and manage their lists with this plugin alone. Product and cart actions appear only when WooCommerce is available.
-
What happens to variable products?
-
Products needing additional options must be opened to choose them. The plugin does not bypass WooCommerce purchase, stock, or cart validation.
-
Are wishlists public?
-
No. The free plugin has no public-sharing endpoint or sharing strip. Sharing requires the separate Pro add-on. Disabling Pro removes access to its sharing endpoints without deleting stored collections or customization settings.
-
The plugin stores list names, ownership references, visibility, item references, and dates in custom tables in your site’s database. Guest saving uses a random, HTTP-only wishlistkit_lite_guest cookie with a 30-day lifetime; a hash identifies guest lists in the database. Signed-in lists use the WordPress user ID. Guest lists not updated for 30 days are deleted by a daily WordPress scheduled task. Scheduled cleanup depends on WP-Cron running.
The plugin does not start PHP sessions or send analytics to WPKits. Account export and erasure use WordPress’s privacy tools. Suggested privacy-policy text is available in WordPress’s privacy settings.
-
What happens on deactivation or uninstall?
-
Deactivation stops the plugin’s scheduled guest cleanup and retains collections. Uninstall retains data by default to avoid accidental loss. To permanently remove this plugin’s tables and settings, back up first and add define( ‘WISHLISTKIT_LITE_REMOVE_DATA’, true ); to wp-config.php before deleting the plugin. The configured WordPress page is retained.
-
Can I use it on a multisite network?
-
Activate and manage the plugin separately on each site. Collections belong to that site’s database tables. Network-wide migration and network-wide data erasure are not provided.
-
Can I import an existing WooKit wishlist?
-
An administrator-only WP-CLI staging importer is included for local, development, or staging environments. It is not an automatic live migration. Back up both systems and freeze source writes first. Run wp wishlistkit-lite import preview –user=ADMIN, then use the reported fingerprint with the start, batch, and verify operations. See wp help wishlistkit-lite import for arguments. The importer leaves legacy tables unchanged and never switches the live runtime. Guest browser credentials are not migrated automatically.
